Cazier Excavating, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Controller. We are an established, reputable excavation contractor located in West Jordan, UT. This is an in-person position M-F 8:00am to 5:00pm and a great opportunity for someone who is looking to expand their career in the construction industry. We offer a drug-free workplace, and all employees must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable - supervise accounts payable invoice processing and generate weekly payments.
- Accounts Receivable - submit monthly payment requests for jobs in progress, enter invoices in accounting software, apply payments and report past due accounts to management.
- Perform accurate data entry of financial transactions into accounting software.
- Payroll - supervise weekly payroll processing and work with payroll team to generate accurate and timely payroll distribution, and payroll taxes.
- Monthly, quarterly and year end closings.
- Job costing, equipment control and general ledger.
Qualifications:
- 5–7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally as Controller or senior leadership role.
- Degree in accounting is preferred.
- Strong Excel and data entry skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage priorities, and deadlines.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and process improvement skills.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
• Tasks will include shoveling, fine grading and operating small compaction equipment.
• Assist with grading and excavation tasks.
• Work on the installation of underground utilities such as water, sewer, and storm drainage systems.
• Operate and maintain equipment and tools associated with excavation and utility installation.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
Qualifications
• No experience necessary.
• Must be able to lift 90 pounds repeatedly and be on your feet all day.
• Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Experience in construction, excavation, or utility work is preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic and team player attitude.
• You must have a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation as our job sites include Weber, Salt Lake, Tooele and Utah Counties.

Seeking a reliable construction truck driver with 3-4 years of driving experience. We value hard-working employees and encourage individuals to expand their abilities and gain experience in our industry. The primary task of this job is to operate multiple styles of trucks including but not limited to dump trucks with/without pups and/or side dumps importing, exporting or on-site hauling aggregate and construction materials.
Candidates must be 18+, dependable, on time, and able to work full-time M-F. We offer a drug-free workplace, and all employees must pass a pre-employment drug screen and E-Verify.
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with doubles/triples endorsement is required (No Restrictions), current medical card and can provide an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) per company standards.
• Importing & exporting aggregate or other related construction materials to job sites safely and in a timely manner.
• Can operate equipment safely, efficiently, has the ability for maneuvering and backing with/without pup and able to connect and disconnect pup trailer.
• Must keep time and material records.
• Daily pre-trip / post-trip inspection of the truck is required to ensure the vehicle is safe and in good working condition.
• Always adhere to Federal, State and Company regulations and procedures. This includes following traffic rules, securing the load properly and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Effective communication with site supervisors and other team members is vital.
• Team Player: As part of the crew, be ready to assist with other tasks as needed.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with doubles/triples endorsement is required (No Restrictions), current medical card and clean driving record is required.
• 3-4 years of truck driving experience. (Dirt experience is preferred)
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to read and understand maps.
• Strong work ethic, team player attitude, and commitment to safety.
